Love this unit. I bought it as is and it fits my 50 inch TV perfectly (the legs sit at a good distance away from the edge of the unit). I think you could fit a 55 inch TV too. The wood is sturdy and I've there is a good amount of storage inside the unit. Gotten some compliments on the unit already and can't wait to have guests over!
