A Terrazza Tonic for Dad!
For Father's Day, mixologist Rose Simard invites you to surprise your dad with a thirst-quenching tropical cocktail to be enjoyed on the terrace.
If there's one thing all dads seem to have in common is their love of simple things. That's why I'm sure they'll enjoy this fun, fresh and easy-to-make Father's Day cocktail.
Just combine three ingredients, give them a quick stir with a spoon and your cocktail is ready to serve!
As a garnish, I like to use a pineapple wedge in keeping with the tropical motifs on the glass. They also pair perfectly with Aperol, the popular bitter Italian aperitif.
The ideal drink to be enjoyed with loved ones lounging around the patio, Terrazza tonic is a refreshing cocktail, with a light bitterness that will please every palate (and every dad)!
- 25 ml (3/4 oz) Aperol (gentian-based bitter Italian liqueur)
- 25 ml (3/4 oz) Grand Marnier (orange and cognac liqueur)
- tonic water
- pineapple wedge (to garnish)
You'll need a jigger, a spoon, an old-fashioned glass and ice.
