Vancouver lifestyle photographer Gillian Stevens dreamed of moving into the Kitsilano apartment building she now calls home. Living only a few doors down from her current flat, she would walk by that block daily, dreaming about its views of the mountains and of the sea as well as of its old-world charm. Offering character with its hardwood floors, high ceilings and intricate wall mouldings, the rental she shares with her electrical engineer husband Mark is one that Gillian calls a perfect frame for their life. Her decorating style is inspired by Britain, with its breathtaking countryside, quaint brick buildings and whimsical cobblestone streets. It’s no surprise her apartment is a bright, airy and enchanting space where friends love to stop by.

“I’m really inspired by Britain. I could look forever through photographs of the brick buildings, the cobblestone streets, the beautiful interiors and the British countryside.”
